Michelle Boarer

Michelle is an experienced Property Manager with many years in the property industry, starting in 2005. Her career includes working for Miles and Barr Estate Agents and Belmonte prior to their merger, as well as collaborating with local businesses such as Mayhew Properties and RamsgateRooms. Known for her extensive knowledge, adaptability, and proactive approach, Michelle has consistently delivered exceptional results across diverse responsibilities.

Throughout her career, Michelle has built strong working relationships with landlords, tenants, contractors, and local councils. Her ability to manage large client portfolios with a tailored, hands-on approach has set her apart as a dedicated professional. This personalised management style ensures that each client’s unique needs are met with precision and care. Michelle’s expertise also includes building and investment management, further solidifying her as a well-rounded property specialist.

A passionate advocate for her local community, Michelle works collaboratively with local businesses and supports their growth by fostering connections and offering her expertise. Her strong sense of community spirit is reflected in her dedication to building relationships, supporting local enterprises, and contributing positively to the area she serves.

Committed to professional and personal development, Michelle has completed the Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA) qualification, an NVQ in Customer Services, and a Safeguarding Basic Awareness course. These qualifications enhance her ability to handle complex property management scenarios with confidence and provide excellent service to clients.

In addition to her professional achievements, Michelle is passionate about fitness and community involvement. She is currently training for her third marathon and has completed 10 half marathons. Her dedication to health and wellness extends to yoga and participating in charity races to raise awareness for meaningful causes.

With her experience, qualifications, community spirit, and collaborative approach, Michelle is well-equipped to excel in any property, housing, or commercial management role.

Nigel Pope

Nigel, a Landlord, Lettings Industry Trainer, Charity Trustee and a committee member to various working groups, is passionate about helping others and now looking forward to working with Michelle to provide a bespoke personal service to landlords at The Smart Way To Rent Ltd. 

After leaving school, he spent a year visiting family in Australia in 1988/89 before returning to work in Commercial Property Sales. Where he formed a life long business relationship with Julian Sparkes.  

In 1993 Belmonte Lettings was established in Broadstairs and through various small acquisitions, Bowmanor Property Services, JAB Property Management, Elaine's Lettings and Chesters, the brand grew in stature, going from strength to strength in Property Management.  With three offices in Broadstairs, Ramsgate & Westgate, supported by 25 excellent staff, in late 2015, an opportunity to expand with a merger with East Kent's most successful Property Agent, Miles & Barr.  The company grew with another merger with Pearson Gore Commercial & Lettings, before a management buyout in 2020, just prior to covid gripping the world. 

Being an advocate of professionalising the lettings industry, an opportunity to broaden his horizons appeared and he became a lettings trainer for David D’Orton Gibson at Training For Professionals, www.tfponline.co.uk ,  that provided a better, more informed service to the lettings customer, working with large customers like the Belvoir Group, The Property Franchise Group, Savills & LLAS (London Landlords Accreditation Scheme).
